The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
