The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
