Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They slept very little during the night 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
