Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
