The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 And the second followeth it, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
