And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 Each person will arrive attended by an [angel] to drive him on and another to bear witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
