Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
