Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
