Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
