The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 They sat by it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
