The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
