Destiny (Al-Qadr)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Verily We! We have sent it down on the night of Power. 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is, that Night of Destiny? 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 in it the angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) descend by the permission of their Lord upon every command. 4 it is all peace till the break of dawn. 5
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
