The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
