Al-Saaffaat 3 of 5
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
