The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
