The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
