Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
