۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” – 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 Are we then not to die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
