He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 Make my task easy 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and may remember You much. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
