Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
