Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces, and therein they shall be grinning. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
