(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good! 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ And with them shall be those restraining their eyes, equals in age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 However, the rebellious ones will have the worst place to return. 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 Taste the scalding water, pus, and other putrid things". 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Verily this is the very truth: the wrangling of the fellows of the Fire! 64
