Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
