The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls are paired 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the close of night, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
