The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
