Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 These are the verses of the sagacious Book, 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 In which they will abide; it is a true promise of Allah; and only He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and cast on the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with you. Upon it He dispersed all manner of crawling thing, and He sent down water from the sky with which He caused to grow in it every generous kind. 10 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me that which those (whom you worship), besides Him have created. Nay, the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and those who do not believe in the Oneness of Allah) are in plain error. 11
