Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 in a garden sublime, 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 therein uplifted couches 13 and goblets set forth 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
