The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when souls are united, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 The rising dawn, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
