The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
