Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
