Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
