Do not those who deny the truth see that the heavens and the earth were joined together and that We then split them asunder? And that We have made every living thing out of water? Will they still not believe? 30 And We placed firm mountains on earth lest it should sway with them, and We made wide paths in them that they may find their way; 31 and We set up the heaven as a roof well-protected; yet still from Our signs they are turning away. 32 It is God who has created the night, the day, the Sun, and Moon and has made them swim in a certain orbit. 33 We have never assigned immortality to a human before you, therefore, if you yourself die, will they live for ever? 34 Every soul shall taste death. We will try you with a trial of evil and good. Then, to Us you shall be returned. 35 And when those who disbelieve see you, they do not take you but for one to be scoffed at: Is this he who speaks of your gods? And they are deniers at the mention of the Beneficent Allah. 36 The human was created of haste. Indeed, I will show you My signs; so do not ask Me to hasten them. 37 And they say: "When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful." 38 If the unbelievers but knew when that they shall not ward off the Fire from their faces nor from their backs, neither shall they be helped! 39 Indeed, it will come upon them suddenly and confound them; and they will not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be reprieved. 40 Messengers before thee, indeed, were mocked, but that whereat they mocked surrounded those who scoffed at them. 41
