The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The (unprecedented) crash! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Scale 6 He will live a pleasant life. 7 But as for him whose scales are light, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 Raging Fire. 11
