Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify God, the King, the Holy, the Majestic and the All-wise. 1 He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves, reciting to them His Verses, purifying them (from the filth of disbelief and polytheism), and teaching them the Book (this Quran, Islamic laws and Islamic jurisprudence) and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah: legal ways, orders, acts of worship, etc. of Prophet Muhammad SAW). And verily, they had been before in mainfest error; 2 As well as (to confer all these benefits upon) others of them, who have not already joined them: And He is exalted in Might, Wise. 3 This is Allah’s munificence, which He may give to whomever He wills; and Allah is Extremely Munificent. 4 The example of those who were entrusted with the Taurat, and did not carry out its commands, is like the donkey carrying books; what a wretched example is of the people who denied the signs of Allah; and Allah does not guide the unjust. 5 Say: 'O you who are Jews, if you claim that of all people, you alone are the guided by Allah, then long for death if you are truthful' 6 And they will never invoke it because of what their hands have sent before; and Allah is Cognizant of the unjust. 7 Say: 'Surely death, from which you flee, shall encounter you; then you shall be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, and He will tell you that you have been doing.' 8
