We built the universe with Our might, giving it its vast expanse. 47 And the earth have We spread out wide - and how well have We ordered it! 48 And We created pairs of everything that you may contemplate. 49 So turn to God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 50 And do not ascribe divinity to aught side by side with God: verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him!" 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they arrived at a common understanding concerning this? No; but they are a people given to transgression. 53 so ignore them, you are not to blame, 54 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. 55 And I created the jinns and men, only for them to worship Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 Woe to the disbelievers when the day with which they have been threatened comes! 60
