And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Even then they say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
