Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
