Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
