Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
