The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 And water gushing, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And couches raised up. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 for those on the Right, 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
