The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta. Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and of the illustrious Book 1 a guidance and good tidings for the believers 2 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 3 As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, but they blindly wander on. 4 Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. 5 And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. 6 When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves' 7 But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds. 8 O Moses, I am God, the Powerful, the Wise. 9 "And throw down your stick!" But when he saw it moving as if it were a snake, he turned in flight, and did not look back. (It was said): "O Musa (Moses)! Fear not, verily! The Messengers fear not in front of Me. 10 "But if any have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil, truly, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 "Now put thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm): (these are) among the nine Signs (thou wilt take) to Pharaoh and his people: for they are a people rebellious in transgression." 12 But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said, 'This is a manifest sorcery'; 13 and in their wickedness and self-exaltation they rejected them, although their minds were convinced of their truth: and behold what happened in the end to those spreaders of corruption! 14
