Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
