The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
