The physical growth of those whom We grant a long life will be reversed. Will you then not understand? 68 AND [thus it is:] We have not imparted to this [Prophet the gift of] poetry, nor would [poetry] have suited this [message]: it is but a reminder and a [divine] discourse, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth, 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Do they not see that We have created cattle for them, out of what Our hands have wrought, so they are their masters? 71 And We have subjected them to them, so some of them they have to ride upon, and some of them they eat. 72 some for milk to drink and some from which other benefits may be received? Will they not be grateful? 73 And yet they have taken gods, other than Allah, so that they might be helped! 74 but they are not able to help them: rather they will be brought before God as their allied host. 75 However, be not grieved by the sayings of those [who deny the truth]: verily, We know all that they keep secret as well as all that they bring into the open. 76 Beholdest not man that We have created him from a sperm? Yet lo! he is a manifest disputer? 77 He strikes for Us a similitude and forgot his own creation. He says: “Who will quicken the bones when they have decayed?” 78 Say: 'He will quicken them who originated them the first time; He has knowledge of every creation; 79 [It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite. 80 Is the One who has created the heavens and the earth not able to create another creature like the human being? He certainly has the power to do so. He is the Supreme Creator and is All-knowing. 81 His command, when He desires a thing, is to say to it 'Be,' and it is. 82 Limitless, then, in His glory is He in whose hand rests the mighty dominion over all things; and unto Him you all will be brought back! 83
