Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And burning in hell. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
