The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

AlifLaamMeem. 1 This is the Book of Allah: there is no doubt about it. It is guidance to Godfearing people, 2 who believe in the unseen, and are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided them with; 3 And who believe in that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 These depend on guidance from their Lord. These are the successful. 5 Those who disbelieve, whether you forewarn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment. 7
