He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and may remember You much. 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
