Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital! 1 Guiding unto rectitude; wherefore we have believed therein, and we shall by no means associate with our Lord anyone. 2 And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 we never thought that either human or jinn would ever tell a lie against Allah!' 5 And that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing: 6 And indeed they imagined, even as ye imagined, that Allah will not raise any one. 7 And we sought to reach the heaven; then we found it filled with a strong guard and darting meteors. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 'And we know not whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends for them a Right Path. 10 Just as [we do not know how it happens] that some from among us are righteous, while some of us are [far] below that: we have always followed widely divergent paths. 11 "'And withal, we have come to know that we can never elude God [while we live] on earth, and that we can never elude Him by escaping [from life]. 12 Hence, as soon as we heard this [call to His] guidance, we came to believe in it: and he who believes in his Sustainer need never have fear of loss or injustice. 13 and that “among us some are Muslims (Those who have submitted to Allah), and some of us are deviant. So those who became Muslims found the Right Course; 14 but those who deviated from the Truth, will be the fuel for Hell.” 15 And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision 16 So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment. 17 The mosques are for God's worship -- so do not invoke anyone else along with God -- 18 And when the slave of Allah stood up in prayer to Him, they crowded on him, almost stifling. 19
