So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 A day when friend can in naught avail friend, nor can they be helped, 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
