Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Well-pleased with their endeavour, 9 in a sublime garden, 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 And cushions lined up 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
